This is my first attempt at matte painting. It was fun to do and I hope that I can have time to do more in the near future. This one isn't perfect and could use some adjustments but the mood and feel is there.
I found a simple, more warm photo online and wanted to convey the cool, mountainous feel to which to see on the right of the image. Hope you like.

Doing some oil painting to get back into it. I would love to make this a daily habit and switch to more traditional mediums for conceptualizing production work. Then touching up any areas in Photoshop wherever needed. This could be more time consuming especially on the project demand, while it's still important to not rely on a digital medium at all times.

here is a bit of a back to back, two female X-MEN characters. Neat-O gang. I decided to look on the internet for an action pose either male or female, and came across this one. I wanted to turn the human subject into an X-MEN character based off an interesting pose. This is what came out of the little past time. It is created with indigo blue pencil, two ink pens for outline and one ink brush pen for solid dark tones. I ended it off with some light water colors and with a tiny bit of photoshop touch up. I also came up with a signature in this piece that I kind of like.

Part of a daily sketch session with my co-worker Nolan. We pick a random topic every day and set 12 minutes aside to do up a quick sketch specific to the particular subject. It's a great way to warm up for the day. And yes, yesterday the 16th was the anniversary of his death.

I picked a photo from one of my favorite reference sites ffffound.com to do my latest digital quick paint. The point of the exercise is to establish composition, value, and color very quickly and not to get distracted in the smaller details.

This is an image of the interior of the witch's hut. The tone of the piece is slightly more green than the original. I'll try to see whats up and post the original toned image.

An abandoned witch's hut. The mini huts on the ground surrounding the main hut are worshipers of the central home of an old witched that cursed the forests surrounding. They worship the central hut for divine, spiritual enlightenment.
